With the S3 upload process working, and having a nice progress bar in the sample application, it's time to integrate the code into a production application.
But beyond a simple copy and paste of the code, there are additional needs for any real system. It's not enough to just upload files to an S3 bucket. In most cases, additional code needs to execute once the upload completes.
In this episode, then, you'll see how to add an AJAX call to the end of the upload process. In this case, it will insert the new file into a database so that the server knows about it and can use it.
When it's all said and done, the upload tool that was created will be a completely automated replacement for the old, manual process of uploading the file and updating a database after the upload completes.
