Learn to debug NodeJS code in Visual Studio, and also get an introduction to the fine tooling that Microsoft has built for today's hottest language and runtime! This episode packs a lot in to a short period of time, to give you an introduction to writing NodeJS and debugging it, all inside of Visual Studio!
Start by installing the NodeJS runtime on your Windows system (see Episode 17: Installing NodeJS On Windows for the < 5 minute walk through). Then hit this episode for the installation of the tools and debugging it. This episode will show you the basics of what you need to get Visual Studio working with NodeJS!
Once you're done with the basics, head over to Episode 19 where you'll learn a little more about writing your first NodeJS code, then try out the ExpressJS framework with Episode 25 – and you can follow along in Visual Studio.
